The Piedra Negra Gran Malbec is Certified Organic. Short pruning was carried out at the end of winter followed by green harvesting during the summer to improve the concentration and maturity of the remaining grapes. Following vinification, the wine was macerated for more than 7 weeks. Malolactic fermentation took place in cask and 3 months of ageing followed in the same casks. The wine was aged in French oack barrels for 15 months. Pairing Suggestions: Mature cheeses, Bayonne ham, wild boar, lamb, meat dishes and pasta.
Intense purple red colour with aromas of plums, berries, coffee and vanilla. It is voluminous, with soft, elegant tannins and a persistant finish.
