Blended wine produced from two or three of the best tawny wines aged in 35,000-litre oak vats, so as to obtain wines with an average age of seven years. Characteristically, these wines are of some complexity, with aromas of ripe fruit and nuts.
This NV Special Reserve Port has flavors and aromas of hazelnuts, fig, dried plums, vanilla, and caramel. It is nicely balanced by a touch of sweetness on the palate. The blend from different vintages, up to 20 years old, adds additional depth and complexities.
