Produced from the Home Block and Sam Rose’s vineyard on the banks of the Wairau River. The grapes ware carefully hand harvested in the early hours of themorning and returned to the winery in small bins. Fermentation takes place in 1 and 2yr old Puncheons (500 litre format) and is left to age for 12 months with a minimum of yeast lees stirring . The wine has gone through full malolactic fermentation prior to final analysis, blending and bottling on our Estate.
This wine displays intense aromas of stone fruit and citrus zest, accompanied by notes of brioche and toasty oak. The palate is rich and full, with powerful fruit weight balanced by fine mineral acidity, resulting in a wine with refined texture and a lingering finish.
