Leblon Cachaça (pronounced ka-SHA-sa) is an ultra premium natural cane Cachaça from Brazil. Cachaça is the third most consumed spirit in the world, and Brazil’s national spirit.
Fresh-pressed cane juice micro-distilled in alambique pot stills at the Maison Leblon in Patos de Minas, Minas Gerais. It is rested for up to six months in vintage XO Cognac casks from France.
Leblon’s exclusive microdistillery located in the center of Minas Gerais, the premiere cane and cachaça region of Brazil. Leblon is made in small batches via Alambique potstills, as opposed to mass-produced via continuous Industrial operations. The result is a great-tasting high-end spirit.
Every step of the process is meticulously managed, from the hand-cutting of the cane and fermentation, to the small-batch distillation, aging, and blending. The entire process is managed by world-renowned Master Distiller Gilles Merlet, originally from Cognac, France.
After Alambique distillation, the cachaça is rested for up to six months in vintage XO cognac casks. It is then artfully combined and blended to maximize taste complexity and aroma. The result is a very unique spirit: a lively, fruity nose with layers of flavor complexity, followed by an ultra-smooth finish.
