Further inland… These whiskies hero the use of highland peat and are therefore rich and smoky in character.
NOSE - Rich and punchy peat with layers of coal tar and damp bonfire smoke - punctuated with vibrant, zesty citrus notes.
TASTE - The initial rush of peat and wood smoke is followed by a gentle sweetness. Hints of spice and ripe fruits enveloped in smoke.
FINISH - Long lasting smokiness.
Enjoy Sea Cask and Land Cask. Our two carefully matured 10-year-old single malt whiskies with two clearly differentiated tastes. Sea Cask whisky is smooth and easy thanks to the maturation process in our warehouses by the sea on the Ayrshire coast in Scotland. Land Cask whisky is matured further inland using Scottish highland peat for a rich and smoky character. Aged in separate casks and exposed to opposing climatic conditions, Sea Cask and Land Cask are both matured to sip, savour and enjoy.
HOW TO BEST ENJOY AERSTONE
“Many people drink their scotch neat, or with just a little water. But the majority of the time I drink Scotch neat with one large cube of ice because I like my whisky slightly chilled.
However, it is down to personal taste and enjoyment. On a warm summer’s day I have been known to add a mixer to my single malt! Scotch and soda or Scotch and ginger ale works well.”
